LHOTSE EXPEDITION
Lhotse Expedtion NepalLhotse stands at 8516m, making it the fourth highest mountain in the world. It is situated at the border of Tibet and Nepal. Lhotse was first climbed by Fuchsine and E Reiss in 1996. "Lhotse" which means "south peak" is part of the Everest massif and is only 3 km south of Mount Everest, separated by the South Col. There are three peaks which make up the Lhotse massif and they are Lhotse East or middle, Lhotse Shar and Lhotse. The South face of Lhotse is more technical and is one of the largest mountain faces in the world. We will attempt to climb via the normal route to the highest summit of the Lhotse massif. Mt Everest and Lhotse share the same base camp.
